Clear Mask Installations and recommendations:

Crowder’s uses 3M Scotchgard™ paint protection film. Which is an 8mil (.008) clear urethane plastic with a clear coat finish for maximum shine. This material has been used for over 40 years by the military, various auto manufactures and NASCAR© race teams in rock chip prone areas with great results. This virtually invisible paint protection film provides a superior, high gloss finish as well as resistance to yellowing and staining. 3M Scotchgard™ paint protection film facts: 3M™ recommends that any repainted surfaces on your vehicle be professionally painted and fully cured (90 days, or as recommended by the body shop) before applying protection film. If you have touched scratches or chips with a tube of “touch-up” paint and then apply paint protection film over it, the film will protect that area until it is removed. If the paint protection film is removed, it is possible that the area around the non-professional touch up paint could peel off. Various options for coverage are available; this product is intended for the most vulnerable parts of the vehicle. 3M™ recommends headlights are not covered with film due to the Department of Transportation’s standards for optical clarity. After the film is installed there is a curing period. This time depends on the outside temperature and humidity. During this time there maybe slight blemishes and clouding, which is normal. Over a matter of days these will dissipate.

Crowder’s Clear Mask film recommended care:

• Wash and dry with a soft terry cloth towel or chamois.
• Wash and wax as usual after 48 hours.
• If wax build up occurs on edges, once dry wipe off with soft cloth.
• Do NOT use an automated car wash for 48 hours after application.
• Do NOT use any waxes containing dyes or waxes that are not recommended for urethanes.
• Do NOT use abrasive polishes or rubbing compounds.
• Do NOT tamper with film, once raised it will not re-adhere.

 

Limited Warranty:

Crowder’s Auto Enhancements warrants that this paint protection film will be free of defects in materials and application- including yellowing, bubbling, or cracking up to five (5) years from date of purchase. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by misuse, accident, or ordinary wear. It does not apply to dents caused by physical impact of rocks or road debris. This limited warranty is non-transferable.
